Mid-day Memo: Episode Three

Tomorrow is the third episode of the Mid-day Memo, and boy do we have the news for you! We’ll be talking about some important issues like Niigaan Sinclair’s recent segment on CBC Radio where he spoke to Rosanna Deerchild about integrating indigenous content into Canada’s education system. According to Sinclair, the education system has come a long way, but if teachers really want to make a difference, they’re going to have to try a little harder. The Anthem War of the Worlds 80th Anniversary Special

On October 30, 1938, Orson Welles and the Mercury Theatre on the Air performed H.G. Wells’ sci-fi classic War of the Worlds live on CBS Radio. The broadcast changed media history as people tuning in mid-program heard realistic-sounding news reports “live” from a spaceship crash site, and continued listening as the apparent martian invasion continued over the next hour.
